FUTURE GOALS

My future goal is to be a dance instructor while also continuing to explore what more dance has to offer. So that I am able to do more than just being a performer or an instructor. After NAFA, I might consider to stick with DF academy to join more performances and competitions first. I want to experience being a performer before I start branching out and learn more about being an instructor or a choreographer. I want to be able to join more competitions around the world and not just in Singapore to compete. Thus, while gaining experience from being a performer, I could also lead my groups of friends for future performance so that I will be able to teach a class in the future.When I start being an apprentice, I will have to start to analyse my instructor on how he/she conducts the dance class and I will also start to mirror my instructor. There will also be a skill training on being an instructor to further develop my skills not only in dance. I feel that I need to start exploring...

DANCE?! WHAT IS THAT! Dance is the way we express ourselves when words are insufficient. We all want to be understood and if we could truly speak the words that describe our feelings, how deep and powerful they would surely be. But, those words never seem to come to us just right. There must be more reasons why we dance. Dance brings me joy, yet it brings along a multitude of emotions along its vast spectrum. Truth is, not all the time dancers would always feel joyous when they dance. Dancers do get sad and depressed and seeing some dancers giving up what they once had burning passion to dance. Dance helps me to feel good and confident about myself. Being more confident in myself in expressing my own emotions about what I feel. Dance also helps me to express myself in a different way be it happy/sad/excited/confident/scared because I know that my body do not lie so that the audience can actually see if I am enjoying or not.
